During this workshop, we will be using a couple of difference procedures to extract the silk from the cocoon. Then, we will be playing with the product from the cocoon. Some of these product forms are called “hankies.” These can be spun AND they can also be knit right from the hankie without spinning them first. The other wonderful aspect of silk is that it is very thirsty for color. We will be dyeing some of the silk as well. BRING yourself!
